Researching Keywords

Looking for keywords? Strategic use of keywords is important. One of the ways to research for the right keywords is to use the Google Trends tool. Google Trends analyzes a portion of Google web searches to compute how many searches have been done for the terms you enter‚ relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. They then show you a graph with the results — our search-volume graph — plotted on a linear scale.

Transforming your Ideas to the Web

Where do I start?

The answers to the following questions will provide enough information to proceed in the design or redesign of your web site.

  1. What do you want someone to do once they have visited your site — that is‚ what is the call to action?
  2. How should a user feel when they visit your site‚ and what should be their lasting experience?
  3. Name three sites that appeal to you and explain what it is you like about them.
